C & L Marine Trawler - Priced for quick sale

C & L MARINE produced trawlers in Kaohsiung, Taiwan from the late 1970's until the late 1980's. C & L Marine was a respected yard building production and semi-custom yachts. C & L Marine built from 36' to 65' with 11 different models available, all of which were of the trawler or motor yacht style. The 39' Trawler was introduced 1979 and had a long 10 year production run ending in 1989. There were two interior options with either a single stateroom or a double stateroom available. Power options include either the Lehman 120 hp diesels or the Volvo 124 hp units. The yacht was known for her contemporary good looks and practical arrangement. Her better than average build quality and outstanding range (1,000 + Nautical Mile) are other popular features.

The C & L 39' trawler is a hand laid fiberglass yacht constructed of polyester resin, E-glass fiberglass cloth, mat & chopped-strand fibers with coring materials of plywood and hardwoods. The hull has a solid fiberglass bottom and hull sides. The longitudinal stringers are fiberglass encapsulated wood and the transverse bulkheads are plywood which are glassed to the hull. The deck house is also a molded fiberglass laminate with plywood used to reinforce high stress areas such as the decks.
