This is a ferro-cement boat which was made popular in the 1960's as an alternative to existing building methods. Many were amateur built which damaged the reputation of this building method. When built by a competent builder, they can be a strong and reliable sailboat. They will never be a race winner but they were not meant to be. Unless, of course, you are racing other c-mists.
Perkins M 35 was installed new in 1995 and has been professionally maintained ever since.

I believe this boat is similar in design to the sailboats designed by John Alden, a very famous designer of the early 20th century
