Bering 70

The Bering 70 is the debut model for Bering’s Yachtship series.  Like all of Bering’s models she has been designed from the keel up to be a superb oceanic travel and ideal for extensive coastal cruising.  Her hull shape and profile let you easily recognize that the Bering 70 is an atypical motoryacht that is incredibly stylish. A reverse-raked bow is seldom seen in yacht designs of this size. The absence of a large overhanging bow means that there is less reserve buoyancy to create lift when making contact with an approaching wave. This in turn leads to the hull “slicing” through waves as opposed to riding up and over, thereby dampening pitch at sea. The end result, a smoother ride for everyone on board.

Similarly, her contemporary interior design is a departure from the more traditional styling found on many of today’s long distance motor yachts, but her capabilities are that of a true blue water traveler. Featuring a pilothouse deck, full displacement hull and a range of over 2,500 nautical miles she’s ready to carry you and your guests to far away destination.

Stepping into this ultra modern yacht, you will notice clean crisp lines and a greater use of fabrics and non-traditional woods, all of which suggests a more contemporary tone than the more traditional teak and holly interiors and dated fabrics that have become the industry standard among many builders. The saloon flows seamlessly forward into the pilothouse creating a tremendous sense of space. Additionally, the use of large glass panels throughout the saloon and the pilothouse create a refreshingly open and airy feeling while aboard.

The galley blends perfectly into the saloon space, creating one large communal area which is ideal for entertaining. The galley area and dining table are on the port side along with the forward L-settee. The starboard side cabinetry houses a pop-up flat screen directly across from the settee which allows you to face the TV directly as opposed to having to look off to one side. Custom barrel chairs flank the TV for additional seating.

Like all Bering yachts, the 70 is a semi-custom built boat. Bering’s designers work with each client individually, selecting the fabrics, appliances and galley fixtures that perfectly suit the intended interior styling theme. A wide selection of stone and synthetic counter surfaces can be chosen in addition to the flooring and cabinet materials. Likewise, the exact layout and location of furniture and cabinetry is subject to the owner’s input.

Down below, the staterooms can be configured in any number of ways depending on how you would like to optimize the living spades. The accompanying layout renderings show just several of the stateroom options available. For example, the Bering 70 can be configured with two large master/VIP staterooms or two facing staterooms can be located amidships with the master forward and a smaller cabin aft. Steel yachts possess tremendous strength and rigidity so you are not limited by the fixed location of structural bulkheads when selecting layouts. This is just one reason why Bering Yachts prefers to build with steel.

On deck you will enjoy full walk around side decks making for easy line handling and fender placement when docking. A huge sun pad is located immediately forward of the pilothouse. Aft, the partially covered cockpit has plenty of open space for setting out deck chairs or relaxing on the settee cushions. Meals can be served on the beautifully finished cockpit table.

The flybridge deck possesses the same modern feel as the rest of the Bering 70. Two captain’s chairs are mounted forward at the flybridge helm while guests can join you at the settee and table that is immediately aft. A sleek antennae mast carries multiple radar arrays as well as all necessary communication equipment and deck lighting. The aft deck is open to allow for a tender and powered crane.

The Bering 70 is designed with a displacement of 132,000 pounds, carries over 1,000 gallons of fuel and can cruise for 2,500 miles.
