Bering 80

The Bering 80 Expedition features a very bold profile. Her towering bow with its tremendous reserve buoyancy allows her to ride up and over large open-ocean swells. The pilothouse and Portuguese bridge provide that classic passage maker look in addition to being very functional. The Bering 80 is every bit as capable as she looks and with her enormous fuel capacity she can travel well over 6,000 nautical miles with full tanks. The Bering 80 displaces over 485,000 pounds at full load.

The interior of the Bering 80 is nothing short of massive. Her 25’8″ beam provides spacious living quarters above and below deck and is complemented with port and starboard side decks which make for safer and more convenient handling of docking and mooring lines.

The saloon can be laid out with a large corner settee aft with facing freestanding furniture seating. A separate dinette forward is perfect for serving larger meals and allows groups to spread out while in the saloon area.

The forward galley is on the same level as the saloon which makes things easier. You can have an open pass-through to the galley or keep the two areas separate if you choose. The nearly beam-width galley offers all the amenities the cook could ask for. Warming drawers, multiple refrigeration units, professional cooking appliances and more can all be chosen by the owner to create the ideal kitchen environment. Likewise, various choices of wood or tile flooring as well as granite or synthetic countertop surfaces allow you to match your galley with your chosen interior styling preferences.

The master stateroom has been located forward on the same level as the saloon and galley which avoids the need to climb stairs. In addition to being far more convenient, this main deck master layout maximizes the owner’s privacy from the lower staterooms.  There’s plenty of room for a queen or king sized bed with drawer storage underneath. The forward head makes excellent use of space up near the bow.

The lower staterooms are accessed via stairs from the main deck. The Bering 80 provides tremendous space down below for a variety of layout options. If you are looking to maximize accommodations, you can choose to have up to six individual staterooms down below. Larger and roomier, but less numerous cabins can also be specified with en suite heads and showers. You can choose to place several crew cabins forward with a small lounge area and kitchenette if you desire.

Up above, the large pilothouse not only provides ample space for a steering station and all the typical displays and controls but also features a spacious office/library. This space could also be configured if requested, as an exercise studio or dedicated captain’s quarters.

The aft flybridge deck is clean and uncluttered, perfect for storing multiple tenders, installing a hot tub, building in a grill and bar.

Above the pilothouse is an open air sundeck. The sun worshipers among you will no doubt be spending many hours soaking in the rays up there. The view from aloft is outstanding.
