Sharing the same hull and underwater appendages as her Centre Cockpit sister, the Najad 440 Aft-Cockpit is a very attractive looking yacht and is generally regarded as the more ‘sporty’ version of the two.

For an enthusiastic crew the most visually striking aspect is likely to be the large ‘Mediterranean-style’ cockpit with twin helm stations. This generous 2.70m length cockpit provides plenty of space for vigorous winching, tailing and trimming. Likewise, with this much space available, the cockpit is also a very sociable place to entertain family and friends when either under way, or when lying to anchor in a quiet bay.

Depending upon individual priorities, owners can specify an internal layout which best suits their needs. The three cabin layout, for example, with full width master cabin in the bow will prove popular for large families or for those who like to sail with as many guests as possible. Alternatively, a three cabin option, with a single ‘off-watch’ berth positioned close to the companionway steps and extra large aft locker space, may suit the practical needs of long distance cruising folk, or those who sail mainly just as a couple.
