Arcona 430

The Arcona 430 was European Yacht of the Year 2009, and offers a new dimension in cruiser-racing, without compromise on performance or comfort. Designed as a performance cruiser that can race at weekends, she is a modern yachtsman’s dream – truly competitive in performance terms and luxurious below decks, offering an unrivalled ambience, space, light, and comfort.

Structurally, at the heart of the boat is a galvanised steel cradle that takes all the dynamic loads from the mast, rig, and keel making her immensely strong.

The Arcona 430 is built with the latest materials and advanced techniques. Her lay-up, which incorporates a 20mm Divynicell foam core everywhere except in the areas of high structural stress, employs the latest vacuum infusion technology. All bulkheads are bonded to the hull and deck for added strength.

Her sailing capability can be summed up in three words: balanced, stiff, and direct. Feedback through the wheel is intuitive, and the deep rudder provides an excellent grip.

She has also been praised for her crew-friendly design: a large foredeck area, wide side-decks, and all lines leading aft.

Below decks the Arcona 430 lives up to anticipation: warm Khaya mahogany, Swedish quality, and rich comfort. A white headlining and 6ft 4in standing room in the saloon/galley combine to give a welcoming feeling of space and light.

Features include a curved seating area around the table, which can accommodate seven and converts to a double berth, double-sink galley, large top-opening fridge, and good stowage. The identical aft cabins are a good size, and the owner’s cabin forward has an island bed and roomy ensuite heads and shower. There are ample lockers and hanging space.
