Jy 14

This JY 14 has light use on the norther part of the Chesapeake Bay. It has a harken roller furler and a sock to shield the UV rays when not in use. Also, there is a West Marine galvanized  trailer that conveys with the boat. Sails are in great shape. Standard seat cushions from factory are included. Boat has not been used for the last couple of years and needs a new home.Priced for quick sale at 1K

The JY14 was designed by Rodney Johnstone as a sit-in daysailer for everyone. He wanted a boat a 60-year-old woman could sail with her grandson, a youngster could singlehand, and a husband and wife could take for sunset sails. On top of all that, Rod wanted a simple, safe, and economical sailboat. The stable hull has a wide beam and low center of gravity. The JY14 is a dry boat sat in, not on. The spacious cockpit and full-length seats allow the whole family to sail together. The option of the jib makes the JY14 a perfect intermediate sailboat for a camp, club or community sailing program. The pop-up centerboard and rudder make beaching safe and easy. Movement around the boat is easy because of the high boom, and the 4 to 1 mainsheet provides maximum control. Gear storage lockers under the seats provide plenty of space. The hinged mast and halyard mainsail make it easy for one person to rig. The JY14 is constructed using JY Sailboats' patented ACP construction, providing 1,000 pounds of positive flotation and impact resistance. All of JY's products are backed by a five-year hull warranty.
