Walker Bay 305S

This 10 ft/3.05 m Walker Bay Rigid Inflatable Dinghy (RID 305S)

comprises a complete dinghy hull made of light weight high impact

marine composite with an inflated ‘skirt’ at the level of a normal fender

giving a total beam of 6 ft/1.83 m.

The ‘skirt’ dramatically improves the stability of the boat – for example

if someone stepping in clumsily causes the boat to tilt, the ‘skirt’ will

normally prevent a full capsize. It also increases the buoyancy, acts as an

excellent fender and decreases splashing.

The dinghy and Mariner 3.5 hp outboard have had little use. Both have

been well maintained and kept in my garage when not in use. The

combination made an excellent rescue boat when my grand-children were

learning to sail.

As can be seen from the photographs it has the appearance of a new boat.

The launching trolley has been hot-dip galvanised (apart from the jockey

wheel). The outboard motor, launching trolley, oars and rowlocks are all

included in the sale.
