Island Yacht Corporation Peterson 34

The Peterson 34 is a performance sloop designed by Doug Peterson and built by the Island Yacht Corporation in League City, Texas.  Reportedly 92 boats were built to this design from 1976 until 1981.  She's a well built boat, still competitive, and comfortable enough below to double as a family cruiser.  The boat features a keel-stepped double spreader rig, tiller steering, and great performance on the race course, particularly in light air.  She has berths for eight but will comfortably sleep five.

KANGA's owner has cruised and raced her for almost thirty years.  At age 85 he has decided to move to a smaller boat.  He's having a tough time, though, because he is finding it hard to find a small boat that offers the same level of performance to which he's become accustomed.

KANGA could use a new paint job, but she appears sound, has a newer Yanmar diesel that has always been professionally serviced, and a suit of recent North sails.  Come see her before she gets hauled for the winter, and sail her home.

Sleeps eight. Forward cabin features a V-berth with filler.  Storage below.  Enclosed head with vanity next aft to port, hanging locker opposite to starboard.

Main cabin with settees and pilot berths, port and starboard.  A teak table with leaves easily sets up to seat four and can be stowed flat in a storage bag when not in use.

Galley is aft to port, navigation station and double quarterberth are opposite to starboard.
