William Garden Bullfrog - Classic Gaff Rig Cutter

“Bullfrog”

is a William Garden design 30’ Gaff Rig Cutter built by famous boat builders, Lester & Franck of Washington. She has a wonderful sailing history. Bullfrog's initial delivery trip was from Seattle to Los Angeles in 1947.

With clear decks, nicely proportioned deckhouse stopping short of the mast, her offset bowsprit and her jaunty 'can do' looks, she's got a more traditional workboat look than the look of a gold plated gin palace. Things of substance are often like that - unassuming, understated and often underestimated.

The Bullfrog design is based on the designs of the Norwegian yacht designer Colin Archer who developed this double-ended type for rugged search and rescue patrols around the coast of Norway. The Bullfrog is a much smaller version with her lines modified for better sailing performance and motion in a seaway.

She comes with lots of spare and replacement parts including a set of William Garden’s ‘Bullfrog’ plans, and a proud sailing history with Master Mariners.
