Hood / Tor / Little Harbor 36
SPIROL is a beautiful Ted Hood designed Little Harbor 36 that has received a recent re-fit. Westerbeke diesel was removed and rebuilt in 2014, new electronics, electrical wiring and new decks are just a few of the recent upgrades, mostly performed in 2005. Main and Mizzen are full battened and new in '05 along with Furlex roller furling, new main traveller and self tailing winches. SPIROL is in excellen condition, both structurally and cosmetic, and is ready for her next adventure. Available for lease / charter toward purchase. Spirol has a very spacious cabin layout for a traditional wooden vessel of her size. White bulkheads with varnished mahogany trim allows the cabin to have a light and airy feel, and the varnished mahogany cabin trunk sides show off the wonderful joinerwork. The passageway through the vessel is generous, as is the standing headroom throughout the cabin. Because her designer, Ted Hood was very tall, all of his boats have good headroom. Starting aft at the companionway, the galley runs port to starboard. To port is the traditional "Shipmate" propane stove with two top burners, set in gamballs. Aft, running under the brdgedeck, is a white Corian countertop with SS sink served by a Grohe hot and cold pressure water Faucet. To Starboard is a SS lined Ice Box, set into a white counter top. Numerous lockers are found outboard and under the galley counters for food storage and cooking utensils and dishes and glassware. A wet locker is found to the starboard side of the companionway. Next forward is the main cabin. There are settees port and starboard, both of which slide inboard to form single berths. Outboard of each settee are pilot berths, and these are wide and comfortable. Mahogahny sheethings line the hull sides of the pilot berths, and a shelf and a reading light are found over each. All berth cushions are gray vinyl, and were replaced in 2005. there are drawers under each of the pilot berths. Water tanks are located under the settees. A large overhead hatch and 4 opening bronze framed ports allow for ventilation. Forward of the main cabin is the head area to port and hanging lockers to starboard. The head area has a marine toilet and a vanity with sink and hot and cold pressure water. A dorade vent above and an opening port allow for ventilation. Next forward is the spacious stateroom. Berths prot and starboard are low for easy entry, and the headroom is spacious. A v-berth filler allows the v-berths to become a double berth. Two opening ports and a large overhead hatch provide ecellent ventilation. As in the main cabin, the hull sides are sheathed with varnished mahogany, spaced apart for ventilation. The cabin sole is solid teak, with an oiled finish.
