Mirage 236

1984 Mirage 236. 24' LOA, mix between a J22 and a J24, but faster. Nice looking boat. Fast racer or great daysailor/cruiser. PHRF killer. Has a long track record of winning races and is consistently out in front. PHRF is 178 with spin. This particular boat was custom built for the owner of Mirage Yachts with a bullet proof and super light kevlar hull, a deeper keel with a bulb, a taller mast with fractional rig and double spreader rig and different cabin top windows. It is different than other Mirage 236 boats.
Has won the Figawi race several times in its class and has produced many trophies in the trophy case. It has 2 wide berths and you can actually sleep very comfortably down below, has cushions, otherwise just the bare essentials for racing, 5hp Honda 4stroke, good set of sails, although could use a new spinnaker. It is in good shape, consistently maintained. Fresh water boat on Lake Sunapee since 1998. Ready to go. Sits on a dual axle trailer. Draft is 5', beam is 9', 23'6' LOA.

Upgrades/Maintenance-
Aluminum dual axle trailer in good shape, tires are fine, bearings were redone a few years ago, new brake controller 2 years ago, brakes seem fine.
5hp Honda 4stroke motor about 10 years old, runs great. On a newer pivoting bracket.
2 - loose foot mains, one about 10 years old, the other about 7 years old (UK Halsey)
100% and 110% jibs- 12 and 8 years old
130% jib – about 8 years old
150% jib – about 8 years old
All are in good shape.
One spinnaker that is getting tired
New tuff luff last year
The bulkheads were rebuilt a few years ago.
The hull and deck are solid - no soft spots.
Hull and keel are faired and in great shape
The deck paint is fading and would be nice to redo
Hull was repainted about 12 years ago and will buff and wax out nicely, but has a few scratches here and there.
All rigging in good shape, Replaced halyards a few years back. Has 2 jib halyards, one spin halyard, topping lift.
Sheets and lines are in good shape, new backstay line last year, others replaced in the last few years
New wiring about 3-4 years ago
Newer hatch cover with solar vent.
New rope clutches about 7-8 years ago
New winches about 7-8 years ago.
New spin blocks about 4 years ago.
