The Whitehall Spirit 17 slide seat rowing model is an all water rowing boat designed to handle wave and chop without issues.  They are excellent primary boats and make elegant multipurpose yacht tenders as well.  With a full length tracking keel and a rowing speed of 4-5.5 knots, this boat really moves through the water.  The Whitehall Spirit brand is known internationally for its exceptional build quality, attention to detail and performance.  It is a rare opportunity to find a used one available as they are usually kept with the intention to pass it on to future generations.  The 17 ft slide seat rowing model incorporates 2 state of the art slide seat rowing units that can quickly and easily be removed and fixed thwarts installed for traditional “on the gunnel” rowing.  Cast bronze outriggers hinge inboard for safe, hassle free docking, coming along side another vessel and trailering.  The hand rubbed oil finish means that maintenance is minimal (2-3 hours/year) so you and your family can spend more time enjoying this delightful rowing boat.  The construction is a hand laid fiberglass lapstrake hull, solid teak woodwork, bronze fittings and copper rivets and roves on the gunnels.  This boat comes fully equipped on a galvanized trailer.  Slide seat rowing is a full body, no impact, weight bearing exercise.   Best of all…it’s fun!
