Cal 24

The Cal 24 maintains the legend and mystic of the superior sailing qualities that virtually all Cal sailboats have established.  Very much a BMW sailboat, the CAL 24' lead fin keel boat has super responsiveness and most uniquely is VERY, VERY Stable compared to ANY 24' keel boat that you will ever have the pleasure of sailing.

Not designed to have an enormous interior, the cockpit is every bit 7' long and the interior is pleasantly functional.  The CAL 24 still has the "Cal" high quality with a nice interior with adequate sitting headroom, a large V berth, a sliding galley and a generous private comfort station that will have your first mate happy..  Certainly a better interior than most true trailerables -- with a legal width that does not require permits to move her.

Also unique to this Cal 24, there is a very adequate tandem axle trailer complete with tongue extension.  Maybe not intended for moving every weekend, but the Cal 24 is certainly manageable with an adequate ramp. Further, as a fixed keel sailboat (bolted on keel) there are no moving parts that can give up the ghost and thus can virtually never fall off.  No cables or winches involve with this keel, so easy to deal with, particularly with the dramatic "stiffness" under sail.  Amazing stable even at the dock.

All of this stability is one of the primary reasons why this boat is so F.A.S.T.   With all of this leverage on the sail plan the CAL 24  develops more power out of the mast head rig and truly is a BMW type sailor as a result.

Currently the asking price is 6,500.00 and with the inspeciton of the boat the first week of 2015 we find a good list of things to cosmetically improve that will likely force a selling price around the 5,500.00 range AS IS, but as you can see from the photos, we have started with the hatchboards in an effort to elivate this Cal 24 to a higher standard - -  and thus a higher price.  Make a commitment for first right of refusal AT THE CURRENT PRICING, come see the boat and let's get you this CAL 24 before the work is done and enjoy doing this effort yourself before the price is elevated.  We can pick you up at the Memphis airport if you want to see her quickly OR  bring your family tow vehicle with a 2" ball and take her home !

Located on our  yard in Memphis, Tn., she is on a road worthy trailer (more trailer than needed) and with the interstate system can easily be on her way to your home port.
