Ranger 28

Called the “Maserati of the water” by Good Old Boat magazine (Sept. / Oct. 2006), Ranger 28’s are fast, light on their feet, and a whole lot of fun to sail.   “Abaris” has the distinctive diamond shaped deck and tumble-home hullsides made popular in the 1970’s taking full advantage of the International Offshore Rule (IOR) of the day and will sail circles around most other boats her size.

Extras include an autopilot, a Yanmar 2GM engine (new in 1991), lots of gear, and some very nice sails.

The owner would like a quick sale and has priced the boat accordingly..

"Abaris" features a v-berth forward.  Aft to starboard is a hanging locker and toilet.  Opposite to port is a lavatory and vanity.  A sliding privacy door separates the head from the main cabin.

The main cabin features a forward bulkhead-mounted drop-leaf dining table and a kerosene cabin light.  Further aft to starboard is a full length settee, galley sink, and a quarterberth.  To port is a full length settee, Origo 4000 two-burner alcohol stove and refrigerator / icebox. The main cabin port forward bulkhead is fitted with a ship's clock, tide clock, and barometer.
