Brewer Cutter 41

WOW, $10,000 REDUCTION IN ASKING PRICE, MOTIVATED OWNER IS OPEN TO REALISTIC OFFERS! DEFINITELY WORTH YOUR TIME TO SEE THIS GREAT BOAT

Now and then a True Bluewater Boat comes along that fits the description, "Exceptional". This one owner (30+ years) Brewer Cutter rates in that category. The fact that she has carried her owners across the Atlantic, around the British Isles, through the French Canals and the Med circuit without fail certainly makes her exceptional. It may be that after 30+ years of ownership, her skipper and mate never having come across a vessel that suited them better also makes her exceptional. But the fact that structurally and cosmetically, she is ready and able to serve for another 30+ years unquestionably makes her "Exceptional".

Her fully radiused and meticulously finished hull is so fair that most assume she's glass. The entire hull was coated with "flame sprayed (molten) zinc" to protect and guard against exterior corrosion while her interior was "coal tar epoxied" then foam insulated from the waterline up. In a 2010 sounding of the hull, for continuing insurance coverage, the frames and plates showed no degradation from original build specifications. The results of this extensive testing are available upon request to any prospective buyer. The hull has great looking traditional green topsides and cream w/tan non-skid decks, all in high quality Awlgrip. Brightwork is Cetol with no hungry areas.

The owner was heavily involved in the build process and, in fact, deigned the offshore/cruising layout for the cabin spaces. Note on the attached floorplan that a single pilot berth to starboard and double berth to port place the sleeping areas close to the forward helming position so the off-watch is easy to contact for assistance on deck. The galley to port, is designed to keep the ship's cook in place even without a belt. Location of the saloon settees forward isolates the lounging/eating area for additional privacy. Last, but not least, the large head accommodation adjacent to the forward sail locker makes it easy to stow wet sail bags by dropping them through foredeck hatch right on the shower grate/drain. It really is "all in the details".
