Folkloric is an incredibly strong,  comfortable live aboard cruising vessel, suited for family cruising.

 Deck house with sliding windows.

Seven opening hatches on deck.

After deck with full width seat across transom.

Wheel steering (chain to cable)

Secondary rudder on transom for self steering utilizing a horizontal wind vane.

Heavy 1500W Lofrans electric windlass with manual option powered by its own 75 Amp battery in bosuns locker.

Assorted warps and spare sails in extremely large bosuns locker with its own access hatch.

Mizzen boom Sunbrella awning and water collector.

17 Portholes (not opening) in the hull.

After the watertight bosuns locker bulkhead is a ¾ berth abeam with large storage underneath and access deck hatch.

Saloon table surrounding the mainmast compression post. The saloon seats can be used as temporary single berths.

Stbd and port opening deck hatches. Ample storage throughout saloon. TV and DVD with 110V inverter. Power supplied by 3 Siemens solar panels. Partial bulkhead separating saloon from port side galley and starboard  computer/navigation station.  Galley with 3 burner gimballed gas stove with oven. Large mahogany counter with SS sink and draining board. Whale Galley Mate foot pump. Plenty storage and kitchen utensils.

Steps up to deck house with sliding windows and big overhead hatch. ¾  Berths on stbd and port side with storage underneath. Large chart area. Large engine room below wheelhouse with port and stbd steel watertanks containing 150 imp. Gallons(750 L) each. Diesel tank on stbd 100 imp gallons (500 L).

Ford 4 cyl. 60 HP diesel engine solid mounted with new Thames Marine Products hydraulic transmission( installed June 2009).Flexible coupling to a 2” SS prop shaft.

One bank of batteries for the household fed by solar panels (200 Amps)

One bank for engine starting fed by 12V Mitsubishi alternator 60 Amp.

Deck access via steps up to doors and opening hatch on port.

Steps down to port side head and std storage. Steel bulkhead with entrance to aft stateroom, with queen size bunk across with large portholes on port, stbd and transom.

 


Dinghy  (Booby) 12' X 5' sailing and 2 rowing positions. Cold molded construction with Cedar frames(laminated) and Silver Bali planking Mahogany transom Pitch Pine keel and stem. Douglas Fir mast and boom. SS Fittings. Mainsail and jib. Pair of oars.10' Walker Bay hard dinghy with 4 HP Yamaha outboard, and mast,sail,dagger board, and rudder. Pair of oars.
