Atkins Custom Built Cutter - Priced to sell!

This boat has alot of history in putting it together. It is a Atkins Designs with some changes done by naval architect Craig A. Gording of Friday Harbor. The builder Tom Brandt was the shipwright who finnished the boat. The hull & deck built were built by Ken Riply Co. in Marysville with completion of the hull done in 1992. The Model was called Seawing 43. The boat was stored for two years and then was put into a building to were builder/shipwright work on the boat. For the next 8 years he built the boat to ABYC Standards and more! The boat was launched in June of 2002.

The owner is a Master Shipwright and his work related job specialty was for the US Navy in Composites in the building of Subs and Ships. Seldom do you ever see a boat built to this high of standards and of the materials that went into it.

During construction of the hull and deck a watertight bulkhead was added in the bow. Baltec balas core was added to the hull for insulation and Klegecell in the decks.

In the surveryor's notes done at the launching of the boat in June of 2002 "The undersigned seldom sees a home built vessel so well thought out, with excellent workmanship where only the best in materials have been used. Replacement cost of this customized vessel in a boat yard would exceed $600,000.oo .  All  ABYC Standards appear to have been complied with or exceeded." This was said by the surveyor at that time.
