The Puffin 36 is a design by the renowned Dutch naval architect Oliver van Meer. His designs have a lot of charm and sense of history. Though she has a nostalgic look, technically the boat is really state of the art. The "Brandaen" has an electrically operated centerboard. This makes it possible to sail in shallow waters and beach her in tidal waters. Typical for the design of the rig is the big bowsprit. The mainsail is hoisted at the foot of the mast. Fore sails can be reefed from the cockpit. The teak deck is very wide and in good state. 

The interior is made of nicely varnished mahogany. Right is the galley, and the chart table. In the middle a table is made at the centerboard housing. Left is a sofa that can be slided out to make a double bed. Both in the bow and port aft are cabins with double beds. The head is port-side amidships. The engine is under the stairs and well accessible for maintenance.
