C&C 27 Mkii Sloop

Designed by George Cuthbertson, and built from 1970 to 1982 with almost 1000 hulls, this is the most successful of all the C&C designs. Known for their outstanding sailing ability, roominess, quality construction, and comfortable trustworthy cruising, these boats have proved to be a great size for modest means. Sailed well, they still can be competitive in their size.

RUBY CON appears to have been very well kept by all of her past owners. We were impressed by her hull which still sports a shiny Flag Blue Awlgrip finish and appears to have likely been done within the last ten years. Her topsides look great with very little evidence of spider-cracking from being raced hard. Her Plexiglas windows have also been replaced and look very good. Her interior is clean and well-kept and her upholstery is in good condition.

While she is somewhat basic in her accoutrements, she appears to be in above average condition for her age and would be a great choice for a family looking to enter into the sailing world.
