THIS BOAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A PROJECT BOAT. IT RUNS WELL, IS FULLY OPERATIONAL, BUT HER NEXT PORT OF CALL SHOULD BE THE BOAT YARD. PRICE IS FIRM, OWNER DOESN'T HAVE TIME TO WORK ON HER. DRASTIC PRICE DROP! ONLY 400 HOURS ON REMAN PERKINS 105 HP DIESEL. 1.2 GPH AT 7 KNOT CRUISE. 1984 Pilgrim 40, The Classic Motor Yacht. This fine Canadian vessel was first designed by Ted Gozzard for a friend as an ideal boat to use on the Canal and Intercoastal waterways for nothing more than going slow and seeing the sights. Great liveaboard vessel for two with occasional guests. The boats were created and built at North Castle Marine Ltd. in Goderich, Ontario in 1982, and just fewer than 50 were built in total. Ours is a 1984 and she's Hull #12. This 40' full displacement trawler has seen many loving miles with her owners. With a remarkable solar array and a 2010 Perkins repower with approximately 400 hours on it, she is well equipped and is ready to take her next owners the length of the Intercoastal, across the Erie Canal, around the Great Lakes, or gunkholing in the Florida Keys - she's been there and more! The Pilgrim 40 features a high bow, covered side decks and a sturdy wooden rub rail - perfect for families with young children. She has varnished handrails and deckhouse trim, a foredeck seat and bronze combination hausepipe/mooring cleats. She is also equipped with an electric windlass and heavy ground tackle. The aft deck has built-in fantail seating and a ladder for convenient access to the upper deck. Custom low-cycle refrigerator and freezer make living on the hook a quiet breeze. The original engine threw a rod so it was taken out and replaced with a factory remained engine. It is a 105 hp Perkins 3544. The boat burns about 1.2 gallons an hour at 7 knots. The generator is a Westerbeke with 1826 hours. Pilgrims are set up with six 72 gallon tanks that can be used in different ways. Maribel has three tanks holding fuel, two tanks holding water and the holding tank was replaced and is now a 74 gallon plastic tank. Maribel has a Vetus bow thruster.
