 "Genie Ree" is from an era when "motor yacht" meant beautiful wood working with a spacious interior that makes you feel at home as soon as you go below. This boat is in good condition inside and out. Looks like a much newer boat. Canvas and eisenglass enclosures are in good condition. The interior is also in very good condition.  All of the interior wood has been maintained and is rich in appearance. Very spacious layout with queen berth on centerline in aft owners stateroom with ensuite head , vanity and shower. Large salon, dinette opposite the galley and offset double berth in the forward cabin with another ensuite head and shower. The engine room is clean and well organized. The twin Cummins Diamond B 300hp engines are very fuel efficient(see Full Specs), Westerbeke generator .

The salon of the 42 Carver gives the feel of a much larger boat due to it opening up to the large dinette and galley area. There is a L-shaped sofa which converts to a sleeper on the starboard side. Just forward is a breakfast counter with two stools and a wet bar. TV/VCR and stereo system with CD changer on the port side. The large side windows and front windows provide plenty of natural light and visibility. There are mini blinds and curtains on the side windows.
Forward of the salon is the large U-shaped dinette on the port and well layed out galley on the starboard.
The forward stateroom has an offset double berth, cedar lined hanging locker, storage cabinet and private entry to the guest head compartment. The guest head has a fresh water flush electric toilet, separate stall shower, storage and sink with mirror.
Aft of the salon is the owners stateroom. There is a centerline queen bed with innerspring matress, vanity with seat on port, ample storage cabinets and cedar lined hanging locker. The private master head compartment is complete with fresh water flush electric toilet, separate stall shower, storage and sink with mirror.
The enclosed aft deck has carpet, wing doors to the sidedecks, wet bar, icemaker and small refrigerator. Access to the flybridge is up 3 steps (no ladder to negotiate) from the aft deck. Here is a new 2005 enclosure, new carpet and seating for six.
