Ex Admirality Motor Vessel Auxilliary Ketch

1944 Ex Admirality Motor Vessel Auxilliary Ketch Having emerged from a two year full rebuild / refit at our yard in Gloucester, Big Saba is a totally unique yacht. Refitted from the bottom up, she represents amazing value as a new build would cost you much, much more. No expense has been spared in the renovation and Big Saba is a truly beautiful boat for the discerning owner. Built in 1944 by Bolson?s of Poole for the Admiralty, converted in 1984 and then rebuilt by T. Nielsen & Company in 2010. Big Saba is constructed in larch on oak, has full sails and a Gardner diesel engine. Fully equipped and finished to the highest standards, both interior and exterior is a testament to excellent craftsmanship. Big Saba is a success because Tommi, Sarah, Nigel, Mark and all the men who worked on her feel justly proud of every aspect of their supreme craftsmanship. In their minds they not only owe it to the owner but to the very soul of the boat they have rebuilt.
