Beneteau First 345 Sloop

The present owners purchased ASCONA in 1989 and are the second owners. They have found her to be a thoroughly successful cruising vessel, as well as a fast racer. ASCONA sailed to Bermuda in the One-Two race and the owner did well, and reported that she was easy to singlehand. The owners are offering ASCONA for sale as they have purchased a Downeast cruiser.

 

HULL & DECK:

  • Awlgripped 2000 white hull, blue boottop, white bottom.
  • White decks with white non-skid; exceptionally wide decks.
  • Solid fiberglass hull; fiberglass with balsa-cored decks; fin keel with spade rudder.
  • 2008 Bottom stripped, faired and Epoxy barrier coated (4 coats).
  • 2000 keel was removed and rebolted; 2000 new rudder.

ACCOMMODATIONS:

  • Large vee berth forward with filler , hanging locker, and shelf space.
  • Privacy door separates forward cabin from rest of salon.
  • There is a centerline drop-leaf table that provides dining for 6.
  • There are roomy settees port and starboard in blue fabric upholstery. The port settee makes into a double berth.
  • Many storage compartments are behind and under the settees.
  • The L-shaped galley is to port, as you enter the salon from the companionway and features a Force 10 2 burner LP stove with oven, icebox, a double S/S with hot and cold water. The hot water is electric or heat exchanger supplied while motoring.
  • Aft of the galley to port is the head with hand held shower and new 2014 macerator pump.
  • The nav station is to starboard opposite the galley with shelf space, large chart table and nav seat.
  • Behind the nav station is the large double quarter berth area with a privacy door.
  • Teak and holly sole throughout.
