Her shapely Baltic stern, faux plank seams molded into the glass hull and lavish use of teak above and below deck have come to epitomize the image that immediately comes to mind when Oriental boats are mentioned". With her full keel, skeg hung rudder and sea kindly motion, this Robert Perry-designed classic has proven very popular amongst the cruising set; almost 1,000 have been built since 1979 and it's easy to understand why they're seen literally all around the world today.
This particular late-model example is one of the few Tayana 37s built as a pilothouse, and what a difference it makes: she feels more spacious both below deck and in the cockpit than the regular version.
