Lecomte Northeast 38 - Sail today, cruise tomorrow!
New Yanmar! New Topsides Paint! New Deck Paint! New Cushions! New Water/Fuel/Holding Tanks! Windchimes is a gorgeous Bill Tripp design that can be daysailed right now. She has new topsides paint, new deck paint with very tastefully done non-skid, a new Yanmar 3GM30 (only 280 hours!) spinning a MaxProp, roller furling, good sails, a brand-new dodger (not shown), and new Raymarine ST60 instruments. Sail the boat. Have fun. Do some racing. Enjoy her. But if you want to go cruising, the interior will need some finishing. The interior is 85% complete. It has always been dry and has never experience mold or rot. However, the cabinetry was in need of attention from wear and tear. The owner first took up the sole and replaced the integral keel tanks with custom FRP. The sole now needs attention, as does most of the interior. It may not look like this in the photos, but most of the big bits are in place and what is left is the finishing touches. The overhead is also a work in progress, but is 95% complete. Using local talent here in the Wilmington area the interior can be completed for $7-$10k. Call the listing broker, Bob Langhorst, for estimates. Once you got the woodwork squared away, you can enjoy the new cushions (new foam too) that come with the boat. There is no stove, but a double tank propane system with solenoid is installed. Price is negotiable. This is a great opportunity to own a real classic. Don't just look at this listing -Act!
