Harris 38 Square Meter Sloop

Based on a Scandinavian square meter type sloop, GRACE II was built by her very skilled owner to extremely high standards. She truly is a “work of art”. Her lines were taken from an existing vessel, and though the design affords limited space below, the owners have maximized her layout and the cruise-ability of this outstanding vessel. Her sailing performance is excellent and she is, if anything, "overbuilt." Please note that all frames, deck beams, stringers, and cabin tops have carbon fiber between the laminates and that visible deck beams, stringers, and carlings are laminated oak/mahogany/oak layers for aesthetics. 

A 2002 survey of GRACE II states that "the vessel is built to the highest standard in terms of construction methods, aesthetic appearance, and appropriateness of equipment selection. The working systems and accommodation are well planned and functional." A 2014 insurance survey verified her as being maintained in excellent condition. 

GRACE II is truly a modern-day classic. Smart-sailing daysailers/weekenders of this type have become increasingly popular in recent years, and GRACE II certainly falls into and exceeds in this category.
