Bertram Yachts are world class sport fishing boats highly regarded and well known for handling any sea conditions. Her twin Detroit Diesels can deliver you quickly to fishing areas in comfort. Built on the successful modified-V hull used in the production of the Bertram 58' Convertible, the 58' Convertible was the company's largest entry in the 1970/1980s motor yacht market.  To many, the 1981 Bertram 58 Convertible remains an elegant,well-proportioned yacht.  Aside from some periodic decor updates, the original three-stateroom floor plan of the Bertram 58 remained unchanged during her decade in production. The galley is down, and the huge owner's stateroom came with a walk around king-size bed and a tub/shower in the head. The side decks are wide, and the molded foredeck seating will accommodate a small crowd. Like all flush-deck designs, the lower helm station is forward on the main deck which, in the case of the 1981 Bertram 58 Convertible, is very spacious indeed.

Her twin turbo-charged diesels provide top speeds of 21 knots (25 MPH), comfortable cruising at 16 knots (19 MPH), and a cruising range of 500 miles on her 5,000 liter (1320 gallon) tanks. The deep-V hull is structured from high-impact, immaculately hand-laid fiberglass with the color bonded right into the gelcoat, so that maintenance is minimal. There is even a sand-frosted bottom, so every coat of antifouling paint applied gets a better grip.

This 1981 Bertram 58 Convertible is a bit worn from her many years of enjoyment, but she remains superior where it counts.  Her owner is confident in her as a project refit yacht should the new owner want to update her. Otherwise she is find as is, due to being well maintained for over 30 years by the same owner.
