This Greek Schooner is called a Trehandiri, this type of traditional fishing and freight boat of the Aegean is recognizable by its curved bow stem that terminates in a back-looking curve called koraki, the “crow” They were fast under sail, seaworthy in stormy seas, had shallow hulls capable to be hauled on beaches, large decks strong enough to mount small artillery pieces and were the first boats in the Med designed to rely solely on sails.

She was built in 1969 in Perama, on the Attic coast, by the Zacharias shipyard and totally refitted in 2000 in Salamina by a team of old shipwrights using traditional methods and tools.
