Fairline Targa 27 Diesel

A very special Fairline Targa 27 Diesel. This boat has had approx £15,000 spent on her over the last few years on upgrades to bring it into line with modern sports cruisers. The exterior upgrades include de-striping, anti-foul removal, new skin fittings and sea cocks, compound and polish, new full canopy, even new mooring lines.

The cockpit has had all the upholstery and panels renewed and a Garmin colour plotter with depth transducer fitted. There is a 19" Flat screen TV/DVD and an arch-mounted Glomex aerial and amplifier. Also on board is a Kenwood radio/CD with an iPod input, a Jabsco lite electric toilet with holding tank and macerator, a 20amp battery charger, and a complete power trim unit. 

This is a very economical boat to use, and notes from the owner are: at cruising speed the fuel consumption is approximately 5 gallons per hour at 20mph, 4mpg. Diesel is approximately £5 per gallon or 100pence per litre. Average fuel consumption for the season works out at 2 gallons per hour - approximately £10. As a comparison, a twin petrol engined Targa would cruise at approximately 15 gallons per hour at a cost of £7.50 per gallon which is approximately £1,100 per hour. Servicing is also much cheaper with only one engine to service.
