The Marine Trader 34 DC is arguably one of the most popular trawlers built.  These Ed Monk designed vessels are amazingly economical to cruise and extremely comfortable as a liveaboard for a couple or family.  

 The popular double cabin layout boasts a classic teak interior and provides sleeping accommodations for up to six people.  The master stateroom features a double and a single berth, plenty for drawer space and a hanging locker as well as a private head with shower.  The forward stateroom has a spacious V berth as well as plenty of storage.  The second head with shower is also located forward.  

The galley layout is pleasant and efficient with good storage space and an attractive updated Corian counter and sink.  The galley also features a 4 burner propane stove and oven as well as refrigerator/freezer and microwave oven.  There is also a custom made chest refrigerator/freezer on the upper deck for extra provisions on an extended cruise.  Adding to the usual storage space in the galley and salon, the owners have raised the two settees to better enjoy the view and in the process added more drawer space beneath.

The lower helm has excellent visibility and is wonderful for piloting the boat in inclement weather while the upper helm station is popular for its 360 degree view.

The owner has invested nearly $30,000 in improvements over the years including updated electronics, the 2000w inverter, the electric winch and davits for a dinghy and the electric windlass.
