Island Packet 26 Mark Ii - Classic Pocket Cruiser

Island Packet is known for building strong, sea-worthy cruising yachts of high quality - Nomad is a good example of their line of pocket cruisers. For its size it's very roomy, stable and capable of handling just about any weather you might encounter. The interior is big for its size and very comfortable for a cruising couple. The saloon berth can extend to a double. The following review from Yachting.com sums it up:

"The cabin is roomy and very homey. The overall wood design evokes a classic and warm feel. Holly and teak wood adorn the trim, shelves, floor tiles, and cabinets. There’s a wide v-berth double with shelves on both sides, and another beneath the berth. Aft portion on the starboard side is the head with stainless steel sink and shower hose nozzle. Reviewers love the spacious salon. The settee on the portside can be used as a single berth, while the starboard side settee can be pulled out to make it a double berth. The salon table swings down. The full-service galley is on the portside."

Nomad has great bones but could use some interior touch-up. The exterior teak has been oiled, not varnished, for easier upkeep. The hull was repainted with 4 coats of Awlgrip July 2014.
