Alden Caravelle

WIND SONG is a classic Alden design with a fiberglass hull and the appeal of a wooden boat with her bright coach roof.   WIND SONG has always been stored indoors and yard maintained. Her  owner has enjoyed cruising New England.  This CCA design sails well and is comfortable in heavy weather.  The Alden Caravelle was built by several different quality builders. WIND SONG'S hull was built in England by Halmatic and then she was shipped to Denmark where her teak coach roof and interior were built by Molich.  The joinerwork and attention to detail below is one of her many lovely features.

WIND SONG has a traditional layout and sleeps 6.  Starting forward is a spacious V-berth Stateroom with a filler piece.  There is drawer storage and a locker outboard and aft of the berth.  Shelf above berth and drawers below.

The Head is located to port with access from the main salon or V-berth.  The head is equipped with a Lectra-san Marine Head and a stainless steel sink with hot & cold pressure water.  There is a shower and teak grate on the sole.

The main Salon has a drop leaf gimbaled mahogany table that will comfortably seat 6.  There are settee and pilot berths port and starboard with drawer storage beneath the pilot berths.  There is a lovely Stainless steel and tile fireplace located on the port forward bulkhead.

The Galley is aft with a 3-burner propane stove and oven.  A large stainless steel sink with pressure hot & cold water is aft with dish storage above.  To startboard is the ice box with Grunnert cold plate refrigeration.  This area doubles as a chart table.  There is chart storage located on the vertical side of the icebox.

Mahogany joiner work below with varnished teak and holly sole.  Laminated spruce deck beams are varnished bright and support the deck.  Cushions are blue plaid fabric.

Overhead hatches and port lights provide light and ventilation.
