"Aventurine" is a rare Ed Monk designed sloop rigged motorsailer modeled on the lines of a classic trawler. Built in 1984 in Taiwan by C & L Marine ( makers of Ocean Alexander) to Lloyds  of London specifications. Powered by an 85hp Perkins 4-236 at 6.5kts (1450 rpm) fuel consumption is 1.2 gal ph.She is a comfortable coastal cruiser that has gunkholed in the Puget Sound, British Columbia and Southeast Alaska.
