Compromis 888 - Well built Cruiser

 Built by Jachtwerf Zaadnoordijk BV to a design by world renowned racing yachtsman and designer Frans Maas.  Frans's brief was to come up with a cruising yacht that was safe, easy to handle, could accommodate 6-7 tall people and be capable to long range cruising. He was on top form the day that the plans left his board as the result is a yacht that is unsurpassed even today with modern building techniques.

She is more small ship than yacht with stout GRP layup, large deep cockpit with excellent storage and wide safe side decks finished in tread master. The hull topsides are white and off set by a smart blue coving stripe. The 1.50M draft allows most harbours and marinas to be entered at most states of the tide and the semi balanced rudder makes the weather helm very light indeed.

The cockpit as previously mentioned is deep and safe. The angled coamings make for comfortable seating and as everything is led aft there is little reason to leave its relative safety. If forward you must go then the stainless steel stanchions with double set of guard wires add security whilst the handily situated teak coachroof mounted hand rails provide added confidence.
