This Van de Stadt 59 was custom made to the owners requests by the reputable Jacson Yacht yard in 1995. The owners brief was for a safe & strong easy to handle ketch with just two cabins offering a large comfortable master cabin aft. She is a centre cockpit ketch with a large aft deck which is great for entertaining. The cockpit is well protected by a large hard dodger which allows great headroom and is extremely safe when the weather gets rough. The hull construction is 6mm steel with 5mm on the topsides and a stainless deck to avoid leaks occurring over time through deck fittings which it has proved to do so very successfully. The deck is covered with 12mm teak laid in 2009. She offers a well equipped L shaped galley to port, a great machinery room with walk-in access, very comfortable saloon and a double fwd berth with adjoining ensuite. The aft master cabin is one of the highlights of the boat with full standing headroom for a wookie and a full king size berth with ensuite incl separate shower and electric head. The amount of storage throughout the boat is impressive and overall she is a yacht that was designed to do the miles.
