Hinckley South Wester

A wood  Hinckley classic from 1947 with many upgrades including a fiberglass deck (Factory installed in the '60's); diesel engine ('80's) and upgraded equipment regularly added with long term cruising in mind. Please call ahead to arrange to see this boat.

  • now hauled for winter storage in Shelburne
  • SQUALLY a Hinckley South Wester (as they were called in those days) a Carvel planked wood hull with a wood deck, was built in 1947
  • In 1963 a fiberglass deck from a Hinckley Pilot 35 was installed at the Hinckley Factory to replace the original wood deck.
  • The Yanmar diesel engine was installed in the 1980's and works well
  • Equipment has been regularly updaded with good quality new materials with a  goal of long term cruising comfort. Lifelines, stainless steel stanchions and stainless steel running rigging have all been replaced.
