Taylor / Rhodes Sloop

The current owner has put more than $40,000. from stem to stern and tip of the mast to the bottom of the keel refit over the past few years.

This well maintained, boat has been upgraded with a Yanmar diesel, roller furling, batteries, charger, shore power, electronics, lighting and electrical. Canvas covers by North makes maintenance easy and inexpensive. "Zena C" is fast, with a cut-away forefoot and 720 sf of Dacron sail.  Incredibly smooth, tracks well and is beautifully balanced, originally built to the specification of the Vancouver Yacht Club. She is one of a handful of her class which won Swiftsure and other local races. Her large sail area and cut-away forefoot make her quick even by today's standards.

"Zena C" sleeps 4 owners and guests. The owners stateroom is forward in a V-berth configuration. Shelving runs fore and aft outboard on both cabin sides. A hanging locker with teak louvered doors, drawers, bins and ample under-seat compartments allow for ample storage. The head is port aft of the V-berth and is separated by a folding curtain from the forward cabin as well as the main cabin. Moving aft and to starboard is a chart table with built-in ice box below and a line of drawers. The settees have bolstered backs and sit on the port and starboard side of a folding table. Galley is aft to port, with Navigation station to starboard. Quarter berth aft.

Interior has a varnished teak and holly sole; varnished mahogany solid paneling on main bulkheads; painted mahogany strips on hull sides in forward stateroom, main salon and quarter berth brighten up the interior.
