She was built in the U.S.A. and imported into the UK by Opal and launched on the 22nd February 1997.

Selene is an easy boat to sail on all points of sail and is set up so that she is easy even single handed. Everything can be done from the cockpit, and expensive cars on the mainsail mean that it drops like a dream into the bag.

She is ideally suited to weekend sailing - we use her mainly in the Solent, but do plenty of cross channel crossings as well. We have already done two in 2012.

She has a happy atmosphere and accomodates plenty of people in the cockpit and in the saloon, and is superb for sunbathing, just chilling and socialising. She is fine to have another couple aboard for a weekend, and the cockpit tent gives the boat another saloon and loads more storage in port.

She has no discernible prop walk, so is very easy and predictable in reverse.

All servicing has always been done by Motortech, and major works including all anti-fouling and polishing have been undertaken by Gosport Boat Yard.
