Monticello 65 River Yacht - Always Fresh Water

WOW! WHAT A FIND!  A CUSTOM BUILT 65' VERSION OF THE POPULAR MONTICELLO RIVER YACHT.  The Monticello was designed to offer the expansive living spaces of the lake houseboats but  with more robust construction, a clipper bow and significantly more power (twin 8.1 Liter inboard V8's) to allow river cruising rather than being confined to a lake.

One owner, the Miss Sandra has  always been in fresh water, has very low time (less than 60 hours since new), loaded with options  and is absolutely spectacular.. She is being sold in cruise ready condition with all furnishings, soft goods and all the custom touches ordered by the original owners even including the dishes. There is only one exception and that being a chest in the salon the owner wishes to keep and is not part of the ships inventory.

The Miss Sandra was the last Monticello built and is being offered at a fraction of her original cost. This is an estate based sale and the owner is motivated. Interesting trades will be considered.

Boarding the Miss Sandra is just one step up from most floating docks and is possible from either one of the port or starboard gates that offer easy access to the large front deck.  This area is large enough for a patio size outdoor table and chairs for alfresco dining or entertaining either at the dock or underway. This area is protected from the elements by an eye brow extension from the bridge deck above. All the way forward are  large hatches that house the power windlass, as well convenient storage for lines , fenders, etc.

Entry to the cabin from the front deck is through large heavy duty sliding glass doors that open into the wide open floor plan that is so popular with this type of boat. The salon and galley are combined to provide a huge area for relaxing or entertaining. The galley is fully equipped to satisfy any gourmet cook with all home size appliances and lots of cabinets (even a pantry with a door) and plenty of counter space. A large flat screen TV, a very comfortable seating arrangement, a breakfast bar and a circular table and chairs are also featured in this space. The lower helm is positioned on the starboard side of the salon and features state of the art Raymarine electronics, a TV camera that provides views of both sides of the boat and the stern, A BOW AND STERN THRUSTER for precise handling when docking and all the other controls, switches and gauges you would expect on a vessel of this caliber.

Proceeding aft down the companion positioned on the starboard side you will find an apartment size washer/dryer stack hidden in a flush wall cabinet. Just beyond that is the door to a large head with a shower stall and beyond that is the entrance to the VIP suite that features a full queen bed and considerable closet and storage space. All the way aft is the entrance to the Master suite with a full ensuite head. There is a large window in the aft wall of the master suite. With the drapes open it provides a stunning water view from the master berth.

This companion way also provides access to the aft deck which has plenty of room for comfortable outdoor seating. The engine room is located directly below the aft deck and is accessed through large hatches that lift easy with gas assisted struts. The engines and generator are situated to provide plenty of room for maintenance.

Reaching the bridge deck is accomplished by a well designed set of wide stairs with a landing halfway  up. Very safe and comfortable when under way. The bridge deck is huge and offers a wide open space large enough for entertaining a crowd or just for a couple enjoying the outdoors. The bridge helm offers comfortable seating, a full set of controls and gauges as well as controls for the bow and stern thruster.

It is very obvious that the Miss Sandra was designed with comfort, easy entertaining, safety, long distance cruising or living aboard by an experienced couple who knew exactly what they wanted. This was perfectly achieved by working in tandem with the talented designers for which the  Monticello brand was so well known.
