Herreshoff Buzzards Bay 30 - New arrival

MASHNEE is a beautifully restored Buzzards Bay 30, and is  a true classic from the board of NG Herreshoff.  She was completely rebuilt  by Darling Boatworks in Charlotte, Vermont.  The project was extensively researched and documented, and an excellent Vimeo video of the restoration may be viewed by clicking on the link provided  under the "External Links" section at the end of this listing. New spars were built in Maine, and new custom hardware was provided as needed... a true labor of love.  MASHNEE is a rare opportunity to own a true Herreshoff classic, in outstanding condition, and we feel she can be highly recommended.

MASHNEE was entirely rebuilt by Darling Boatworks in Charlotte, VT in 2008.  Double planked 9/16” Douglas fir over 9/16” cypress planking, bronze screw-fastened to oak backbone and frames, diagonal bronze strapping.  Awlgrip painted Dynel epoxied to plywood over cedar decks on oak frame; bright mahogany deck house and deck trim; self-bailing cockpit; lead ballast keel; tiller steering to keel hung rudder.  White topsides with green bottom.
