Trumpy Flush Deck Motoryacht

You will never forget the first moment you encounter “SHAMROCK”.  She is hull number 427, from the TRUMPY marque.

For history and research, you can search the various names she has been christened over the years; ADMIRAL BLAKE, TRIDENT, MONTEVERDI, and her current owners christened her “SHAMROCK”.

Bad luck to rename a vessel???—SHAMROCK disposes of that superstition with haste and clarity. Stunning today, and always has been. SHAMROCK suits her beauty and presence……but christen her as you like, as she awaits the opportunity to add grace and pleasure to her next owners’ lives.

Trumpys have an extensive following of aficionados and devotees. Ask any of them about SHAMROCK, and your impression of her rare and superb quality will be unanimously affirmed.

This presentation includes an extensive collection of accurate and current photographs. Among them, you will find her hull to be remarkable and absolutely faired to perfection. Her interior was photographed with only 3 or 4 lights turned on---she is that bright, airy, and spotless inside. Difficult to mention this with eloquence, but SHAMROCK is as pleasing to your sense of smell as her pictures are to your eyes. She is well lit, well ventilated, and very tastefully decorated.

Most vessels in this size class have several areas of living and congregating accommodations, with varying levels of desirability. SHAMROCK breaks this rule, as I found every corner, cabin and deck space to be comfortable, inviting, and conducive to pleasurable living.

Even your dog(s) are pampered and rewarded with a custom gangplank on her after deck, so that Dogs can take a level step from a dock or your tender, on to the large and sturdy swim platform, and up a cleated and high gripping surface to the vessel above. Even larger and older dogs can get on and off the vessel with ease. See the photos……bring your dogs where ever you go!!

Those aboard can move freely about without being underfoot of those piloting her, creating meals, and relaxing and socializing on board.

The perfect degree of separation exists for her pilot, without sacrificing full 360 degree vision. The helmsperson can also see everyone on her decks from the wheel, regardless of their location on her spacious decks.

I have added a section on maintenance in the FULL SPECS page, in effort to help you understand what it takes to keep SHAMROCK in her current superb condition.

TRUMPY yachts continue to roam the world, due to several factors:

Double planked Mahogany hulls wrapped around oak frames provide the robust and cohesive structural integrity required for such global duty.

Look closely at her out-of-water photos. You will find her razor-sharp entry, which fillets wind driven chop with a grace and ease that is simply not present with lesser designs.  This motion sets up the water to support her moderate chines amidships and then farther aft in a manner that reduces roll to an absolute minimum.

Her dramatically flared bow is more than just beautiful. It does reduce spray, but there is much more to this design than a style or spray reduction element. As her sharp bow entry slices through each wave, the water level of the crest of the wave rises. As this occurs, the flare of her bow goes to work in a mathematical and linear fashion. As her hull becomes wider and wider, toward her sheer line, the reserve buoyancy provided fights to keep her high and dry by design. The classic Trumpy incredibly gorgeous form truly does follow function.  You simply have to experience this phenomenon to fully appreciate it.

Aside from her technical virtues, SHAMROCK is laid out in a very live-able fashion. She has 3 staterooms, 3 complete heads, and room for more occasional guests, just as a home on land does.

The accommodation section on the Full Specs page will help to describe her generous layout. Rest assured that those aboard can carry on quiet conversations in one area, congregate with the chef in the galley, and enjoy a myriad of activities throughout the vessel simultaneously, without affecting each other’s pursuits.

When the time is right for all to convene and spend time together, her spacious enclosed after deck, bright salon, or sunny forward decks are ample enough to accommodate two, or all aboard.

SHAMROCK’s extensive safety and navigational gear all work in concert to provide support for cruising far from cell phone coverage; and her twin screws and bow thruster will give you the control and confidence to enter both the most unfamiliar and the tightest of cosmopolitan harbors with ease. Her systems will ensure complete comfort for you and your guest in remote areas, just as her elegant lines guarantee that she is a welcome addition in any port in the world.

Easily handled by one or two SHAMROCK is well suited and perfect for both private and charter use. Staterooms in opposite ends of the vessel allow for family and friends to have complete privacy when cruising, and if charter use opportunities present themselves from time to time, the same layout provides for very private crew quarters.

SHAMROCK’s very low and reasonable asking price does not reflect any current needs. She is simply priced for a prompt sale, in our current economy. She is freshly hauled, maintained and turn key.

Travel to inspect her with confidence; you will not be disappointed.  You may also expect an exceptional survey on this rare offering of a truly modern classic.

Starting forward with her spotless chain locker, with outboard drain, is a crew or guest head with separate fiberglass custom shower. The adjoining stateroom for crew or guests is finished to the same level of elegance as the rest of the ship.

A level few steps through a centerline door presents you with a truly wonderful galley. A gas range, double stainless chef’s sink and under counter refrigeration drawers allow for uncluttered and more than ample room for any meal to be prepared with pleasure and ease. Butcher b lock counters allow for multiple task areas, so that the messy chef can spread out, or so that more than one can cook, for those that find cooking is best performed with company! Spend some extra time in vessels you are considering and imagine yourself really preparing a meal……is there enough room for a huge salad bowl to wait while you prepare everything else?  Is there enough space to layout all the plates, and the pots and pans so that all the food can be plated at the same time? Can you really cook a meal in comfort there; and clean up the galley with ease later?  Is the galley out of direct line of sight from the entertaining areas, or do you have to stare at dirty pots and pans while you entertain?  SHAMROCK’s galley is centrally located, so that the chef is not sequestered to a dark dungeon, yet it is situated and designed in a manner that takes all the above in to consideration. Sweet.

In the same area, directly opposite to starboard is a roomy and comfortable built in dining booth. This dining and cooking area is definitely wonderful gathering place for those who find joy cooking with, and for, those they love.

Up a few steps, you are rewarded with the large salon pictured. The huge TRUMPY windows allow for unobstructed views while seated in a warm and comfy environment. Several of the huge windows roll up and down…..see pictures……new boats don’t do this.

The aft end of this space has library shelves, a desk, and controls for the several speaker zones throughout the vessel.

As you move farther aft, you can chose up a few steps or down a few steps. Down a few steps leads you to a large guest room to starboard with two generous single berths, built-in dresser and locker storage; all in a room that you are in no hurry to leave when you awaken each morning. The opening port lights are adorned with lovely wooden shutters.

Opposite the companionway (hallway) is another large head and separate shower to port. This head is no exception in terms of style, and space. Step off of the teak and holly sole, and shower in a spacious walk in tiled shower. This is a very nice room and there is room enough for two of your guests to prepare for an evening ashore at the same time.

Back out in the companionway, and moving aft is a full beam to beam owner’s suite. Large ventilated hanging lockers, built in double chest of drawers, etc. Sleeping in this room is split, with two ample and very comfortable single berths. This allows for a large open area in the center of the room. Another large head, with walk in shower completes this comfortable environment.

If you had ascended a few steps from the salon as you moved aft, you would have found yourself in the large, beam-to-beam pilothouse, or bridge. Controls are laid out in a simple and practical manner, combining a tasteful retention of timeless style with current and redundant technology. The helms person can have all the company they desire, comfortably seated on the butter-soft leather full length bankette. This is a wonderful and bright area, with views of all aboard, and the surrounding waters without moving an inch.

From this center, you can look through the opening windows, aft, at the after decks. Fully enclosed for all season yachting, with opening Isinglass panels for a more al fresco feel.

This after deck is equipped with its own ice maker, freezer, and refrigerator, all concealed in a built in credenza—flanked by two furniture-quality doors which access side decks.

Move forward on either of the two side decks and there is room for all to sun themselves on forward decks which are uncluttered and very spacious.

All these spaces-both inside and out- ensure that all aboard will never miss a passing whale or vista.

As you look at candidates for your water-borne pursuits, please take a moment on each one to actually sit and look out the windows. It might sound silly bit I urge you to do it. It is rare to find a vessel that is truly comfortable to spend time on. Seating in vessels that you can slouch, put your feet up and relax in is so very rare----and finding seating like this that you can actually see out a window without standing up or stretching high to see out is all but unheard of.
