The 420 arguably has the best accommodations of any yacht in her size range.  The layout is light and airy, warm and inviting, with plenty of room for entertaining.  The quality of the craftsmanship is obvious throughout with teak cabinetry, exceptional joinery, solid teak & holly sole, and premium fixtures and fabrics. The excellent use of space and innovative features of this yacht result in a very comfortable and elegant living arrangement.

Main Cabin

The main saloon features a large hinged teak dining table which folds down and out from the bulkhead providing ample seating space for dinner guests and access to a bottle and glass rack.  The full-length L-shaped starboard settee conveniently converts to a double berth. The long straight port and starboard settees have deep cushions covered in UltraLeather fabric and function well as sea berths.  Eight deck hatches with OceanAir hatch screens and shades, three dorade deck vents and fifteen opening ports with screens allow substantial light and ventilation throughout the yacht.  The ports also have accordion shades.

Generous storage is available under and behind the settees and throughout the yacht.  The substantial tankage of the IP420 is located centerline amidships below the cabin sole maximizing stability.

The nav station is located to starboard between the galley and saloon settee and serves as the control center for electronics, communications and electrical systems.  The large chart table has a hinged top and there is plenty of storage cabinets for charts and supplies.

Galley

The U-shaped galley immediately to the starboard side of the companionway has a generous wrap around counter top with fiddles and a number of drawers, cabinets and lockers for storage.   There is a Force 10 three-burner LPG stove and a microwave oven.  Hot & cold pressure water pump feed the galley, head and cockpit.  There is a Seagull filtered water system for the cold water outlets.  A manual fresh water pump also feeds the double stainless steel sink in the galley.  The large capacity Seafrost 12v refrigerator and freezer divided compartment is further augmented by a custom separate 2 cubic ft freezer.

Staterooms

The staterooms provide very comfortable accommodations for extended cruising boasting large offset island berths, plenty of room, cedar-lined hanging lockers and drawers and seating.  The forward master stateroom has an innerspring mattress on a hinged bunk lid covering a blanket chest.  There you can enjoy your favorite movies on the wall-mounted Sanyo LCD 21” TV and DVD player.  The aft stateroom is to port with privacy doors to the main saloon and also to the aft head.  It features a big Pullman-style offset bunk.

Heads

The forward stateroom has a private head featuring a fully enclosed shower stall with folding acrylic door.  The aft head, which can be entered from either the main saloon or the aft cabin, has a folding teak shower seat and a pull around curtain. Both heads have shower drains with electric pumps discharging overboard, vanities with stainless steel sinks, plenty of cabinets for storage and excellent ventilation.

Forecastle and Anchor Locker

One additional bonus of the IP420 layout is the forecastle which is accessed through a tall door in the shower stall of the forward head.  This space is great for storing dock lines and fenders.  The large divided anchor locker just forward of the forecastle will easily store two all-chain anchor rodes.
