Shannon Yachts 43Ph

NOW SAILING VIA THE ATLANTIC ENROUTE TO THE BVI!!

‘Builders Remarks.’

The 43PH is a true pilothouse cutter with the same sailing and handling characteristics as the legendary Shannon 43, a respected circumnavigator.  Her appeal will be to the mature cruisers who recognize that physical comfort enhances the cruising experience. This vessel is extensively equipped with many recent upgrades and presents a value unmatched on any other vessel of this size.

‘Owners Comments’

MYSTIC’ is the result of a premier boat builder of cruising yachts, and an owner bent on constant maintenance and upgrades.  Their experience and wisdom is reflected in a myriad of details, too numerous to describe.  From the fuel polishing system to the redundant electrical and charging system to the dual refrigeration compressors and the back-up autopilot ram mounted in a “ready to deploy” bracket, MYSTIC was built with cruising redundancy and safety as a priority. The design is innovative.  Performance under sail will resemble that of the aft cockpit Shannon 43’s which have become legendary cruisers by virtue of their strength and speed.

For versatility, comfort and performance, we are unaware of any cruising auxiliaries that can compare to MYSTIC. And for those that may have read ‘Jimmy Cornell’s’ ‘World Cruising Guides’, then all equipment wishes, wants and requirements that have been mentioned there-in, are all there on ‘Mystic’

‘Brokers Comments’

Mystic’ is a rare find, she is the first of Shannon Yachts 43 Pilothouse MK.II models, set up as a double headsail cutter, utilizing the “Scutter” innovative fore triangle.  Shannon’s exceptional quality, many ‘bespoke’ features and all in a true pilot house.

Three private owners since new, an specification and inventory that is most probably the most comprehensive I have ever seen and completely prepared for circumnavigation. ‘Mystic’ certainly will impress.

Currently crossing the Atlantic on her way to spend her summer in Portugal and the Mediterranean.

A truly exceptional Shannon.

MYSTIC is configured to provide maximum comfort for the cruising couple, with occasional overnight guests.  Beginning forward, the forepeak serves as a divided chain locker.  Owner’s cabin, next aft, includes a tapered queen berth on centerline, with inner-spring mattress. Abundant hanging and drawer storage is available to either side, aft of the berth.

Head compartment and shower compartment opposite, Shannon style.  Amenities include Nevamar counter with custom mixing valve.

Galley / dinette area is next aft. To starboard is an upholstered L shaped seating area with bookshelves, stereo controls, xm radio, built in flat screen Toshiba television, media storage, a custom built dining table that converts into a sea berth or guest cabin area with a dividing curtain.  There are ample reading lights, creating a “country kitchen” environment. Opposite to port, galley components are strategically arranged for efficiency.

Deckhouse is up two steps and features leather helm and companion chairs. There are two flat screen monitors to port serving as a chartplotter, dvd screen, weather forecasting station, or the Internet via satellite Inmarsat system.  At the helm, there is a totally independent GPS/Radar display with a brand new spare unit available in the event replacement or repair should be necessary. The seats in the pilothouses will serve as comfortable sea berths or provide additional guest accommodations.  Sightlines from inside helm station are excellent for both power and sail with 360 degree windows. Since this is a pilothouse vessel there are complete engine, autopilot, and sail instruments at the helm station inside and the cockpit.

Interior fit and finish is of white panel bulkheads with varnished teak trim. Joiner work reflects Shannon’s uncompromising efforts. Appointments include Frigast swivel stainless/chrome lights (8),  Hella 12V fans (8), mini-blinds on deckhouse windows, recessed Spartan cabinetry hardware, blue Sunbrella upholstery and teak and holly soles.  Interior spaces are uncommonly bright, well ventilated and elegant.   The stereo system speakers in the main salon, the pilothouse, and the cockpit are all zoned with independent volume controls.
