Sabre 362 Sloop - Preliminary Listing

The Sabre 362 was first introduced in 1993 and was the first of the very successful collaborations between designer Jim Taylor and Sabre Yachts. She was named Mid-Size Cruiser BOAT OF THE YEAR in 1994.The 362 is a moderate displacement yacht, designed to provide a comfortable sea-kindly ride and a high level of performance regardless of wind and sea conditions. A moderate well balanced sail-plan allows her to be easily handled by a couple but still be a lot of fun around the buoys for a club race.Intuitive and responsive handling; an unparalleled level of fit and finish above and below decks; these are just some of the features the set the SOLSTICE apart from other sailing yachts of her size. INVITING MAIN SALON:

Few sailing yachts are built to as high a level of fit and finish as the Sabre 362. Woodworking details, rarely found in even high priced custom yachts, abound in her luxurious interior. Dovetailed drawer boxes, louvered cabinet doors and beautiful sculpted laminated trims, demonstrate Sabre's skills and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

To port is an aft facing chart table at the aft end of a 6'4" long settee. Ample space is provided for today's sophisticated electronics. To starboard is an L-shaped settee with fold up, bulkhead mounted table. When opened, the leaf reaches to the port settee creating a large table for all the crew and guest. With the table folded up on to the bulkhead the salon becomes a large comfortable space in which to socialize or to relax with a good book.

Galley Designed to Go to Sea:

The galley is well designed for an active cruising family. A double stainless steel sink with single lever mixing faucet is situated close to the center-line, so that it remains usable while underway. A deep and well insulated ice box is found outboard of the sinks and has a front opening door. There is ample space for your stores outboard and above the counter. A propane stove and oven with stainless steel safety bas is located at the aft corner of the galley space.

Forward - Owner's Stateroom:

The large forward stateroom features a large v-berth and a vanity sink with wood framed mirror and seat. To port is a large cedar lined hanging locker. A deck hatch and two opening ports provided light and ventilation to this comfortable space.

SPACIOUS AFT CABIN:

The private aft cabin provides a comfortable space beneath the yacht's cockpit sole and features a large over-sized double berth. Storage spaces are found here for all of the gear that you and or your crew have brought along. A cedar-lined hanging locker is another reminder of the quality of the Sabre 362's fit and finish.

Head and Shower Compartment:

The 362 offers a spacious head with a separate shower stall. This is a one-piece fiberglass unit which is both practical and easy to maintain. A bi-fold door separates the shower from the head compartment which feature a sink, vanity and marine toilet. Tow Opening Ports for Ventilation.

DECK and COCKPIT:

The ergonomics and the details of the Sabre 362's deck are carefully thought out. Take a seat in this cockpit and note how the seat backs feel just right. Walk forward on deck and feel the security of the anti-slip surface, the high lifelines and the strong stainless steel stanchions and rails. The wooden toe rail keeps water from staining the topsides of the hull and provided a secure footing as you walk on the heeled deck surface. Note also the inboard placement of the chain-plates which provide closer sheeting angles and an uncluttered deck surface.

Sit at the Comfort Grip wheel and note the contoured helm seat which will keep you safe and secure when it's your turn to steer. You may have trouble wrestling the wheel away from other members of the crew. From the helm position all of your sails are clearly visible. Trim your sails to each and every knot out of you boat and have fun!
