Westernman Gaff Cutter

This Westernman is a modern yacht on traditional lines to a Nigel Irens design inspired by the famous Bristol Channel Pilot Cutters. Built by Covey Island Boatworks in 2000, her traditional design is supported by her modern wood construction to achieve the best of all worlds, proven sea-worthiness, lower maintenance, the look of the traditional yacht and the warm comfort of a wooden interior. Inspired indeed by the original pilot boats of the Bristol Channel she is able to cruise 2 or 4 handed for say 3 months on the go but is nevertheless comfortable as well at sea as in harbour.

With accommodation for up to 7 people her current owners carefully planned the yacht’s interior at build to give her 2 comfortable double cabins with 2 separate head WC compartments. This is just not seen on traditional yachts of 40 feet but in ALICE WRAGG allows two couples to sail away in privacy and comfort!
