Lyle Hess Auxiliary Sail - MINKE

MINKE boasts BCC designs by Lyle Hess which have caught the eye of many long-time cruisers- they are very fast for their length and have lots of room for gear. A few, including MINKE, were built by experienced boat builders such as Chris Lowrey. The craftsmanship in MINKE is extremely good while at the same time rugged.Coldmolded construction, built of Kauri with cedar core and fiberglassed over inside and out for solid durability.

Minke is a proven vessel with thousands sea miles by her present owner of 23 years and ready again for global cruising. We feel we can give her our highest recommendation for anyone thinking of blue water sailing anywhere.

OWNERS COMMENTS:

"I would like it to say that the boat was built in New Zealand. The shake down sail was from New Zealand to Fiji without an engine or radio. We were navigating with a sextant. We have sailed 100,000 plus nautical miles ,ranging from New Zealand to Alaska ,Galapagos , Azores England ,French canals to the Mediterranean , straits of Gibraltar , Canary Islands West Indies , Virginia islands east coast USA west coast USA,
Mexico , Costa Rico, Panama ,Panama canal 4 times. It is a proven working sail boat.
My late husband used to say she sails like a witch she goes to weather so well I have never been scared she hoves to if you need to so well."
