Ohlson 35 Yawl

The Ohlson 35’s were built by Ohlson Brothers of Gothenburg Sweden and sold in the United States by George O’Day and Associates starting in the late 1950’s and on into the late 1960’s As Hull #29, HALCYON is one of the earliest boats to have been built.

Halcyon has had exceptional care under all her owners and today presents to this broker as a near new boat. Prior to the current ownership HALCYON had for many years been stored and maintained by Rockport Marine. Her owner of the time had an “open checkbook policy” when it came to taking care of the boat and in 2005 commissioned Rockport Marine perform an extensive and well documented refit which put HALCYON in a condition described by surveyor Capt. Paul Haley as “in very good condition with no issues needed to be attended to”.

This loving care and attention to detail continues with HALCYON’s current owner, a builder of fine homes, a true craftsman and artist. After having purchased the boat in 2006 he once again had the boat stored and maintained by Rockport Marine for his first year of ownership but at the same time constructed a custom boathouse where HALCYON has been stored ever since. Under his ownership HALCYON has only improved in condition with upgrades and replacements of major systems (new engine, new head, etc) and continued and regular cosmetics care.
