Jachtwerf Helleman - New arrival

A Dutch built steel ketch bought as a family boat in 2006. Built in 6mm welded steel plate, this yacht was totally overhauled in 2007/8. The boat was stripped down to metal and rebuilt using the original woodwork after replacing all the ‘innards’ with new components. It has since been maintained religiously, lifted out of the water yearly for servicing, painting and upgrading as shown below. When in the water, she has been used to her best, as a safe, spacious and easily handled classic looking motor-sailor, traveling around the central Mediterranean with young children and grandparents.

SAILS:

Furling Genoa – New 2013

Above all tan coloured, Jeckyll’s Sails with new sail covers and lazy jacks.

Also tan coloured storm jib and inner forestay genoa.

 

RIGGING:

Stainless Steel Rigging thoughout plus retractable tri-attic for ease of lifting out yacht.

Winches on main mast, mizzen mast and aft for genoa.
 

BOWTHRUSTER:

Bowthruster fitted New 2007 – 95HP – battery driven.

 

GENERATOR:

Geko 4KW genset, runs on diesel from fuel tank. Reconditioned 2013.

New Battery.

 

ELECTRICS:

12V Totally re-wired with marine grade wiring in 2007.

220V Totally re-wired with marine grade wiring in 2007 and protected in plastic ducting.

Auto-battery charger - New 2012

6 domestic batteries – New 2013

1 engine battery – New 2013

1 bow thruster battery – New 2013

(Battery set lasted 6 years).

AIRCONDITIONING:

Two Sea Breeze (fitted new 2007) units cool or heat the boat throughout. Work on 220V. Smaller unit works on Genset. Serviced yearly.

Double Sink, hot/cold water, fridge / freezer, separate freezer, twin gas hob and oven on gimbles.
