Davidson 45 - Solid Aluminum Cruiser / Racer

45' Aluminum hull built in Auckland, NZ by McMullen and Wing.  Designed by hall of fame Americas Cup designer Laurie Davidson of NZ.  Originally built for NZ offshore yachtsman Neville Crichton as IOR racer.  The boats first racing in Hawaii and San Francisco was and unparalleled success.  I personally helmed the boat in San Francisco Big Boat Series in 1981 with a string of 1st place finishes. I'O has strong racing bones and is now a fast cruiser with her cruising interior.  She was stored out of the water for 10 years before the present owners purchased her and did the interior modifications (2007-2009).  Presently dry stored at The BoatYard in Marina del Rey, CA.

Accommodations are a forepeak double berth, two aft quarter berths, and port and starboard settee's.  

New 75hp Yanmar engine was installed in 2010 and presently has 1000 hrs.  Hydraulic drive transmission.
